Purpose: To educate people on the prison system, to raise awareness of the issues prisoners face, and to promote advocacy to rectify these issues. This will be accomplished through a mixture of interviews with involved people (advocates, ex-prisoners, etc.), talks on specific issues themselves or analytical literature that addresses these issues, calls to action to give people a specific avenue to enact change (e.g. here are governmental representatives you can call/mail, organizations you can become involved with, etc.), and more. Who Would Do It: Me to start, hopefully people from Books to Prisoners or other similar groups to take over for me and/or cohost with me afterwards Show Title: The Injustice in Our Justice Show Length: 30 minutes - 1 hour; leaning towards 30 minutes long currently, but it might end up being around an hour depending on how much material would realistically fit in a set amount of time Live vs. Pre-Recorded: Probably a mixture - ideally live, but pre-recorded if there are scheduling conflicts for things like interviews Time-Slot: The 1-2PM on Saturday looks great; do you have any suggestions for what the "best" time-slots for listenership might be?
